Founded in 2011 by Laura Stone, a longtime escrow officer who saw the need for a local, professional, customer-first escrow company, Uptown Escrow has grown from one employee to a team of nine, all committed to making your closing day feel seamless (and even a little fun).

An escrow can close in as little as 2 days in rare circumstances and can take as long as the parties need. A typical closing is 30 days.

During escrow, your main job is to stay responsive and organized while we do the heavy lifting. Here’s what we’ll need from you:
Return paperwork promptly – You’ll receive documents from escrow, title, and your agent. Review, sign, and return them quickly to keep things moving.
Deposit funds – You’ll be asked to wire or deliver your earnest money deposit, and later your final closing funds. Always confirm wiring instructions directly with our office to avoid fraud.
Provide information – Escrow may request details such as loan payoff statements (if you’re selling), insurance info (if you’re buying), or HOA contacts.
Work with your lender & agent – Keep your lender updated with documents they request and stay in touch with your real estate agent for inspections, appraisals, and repairs.
Review your closing statement – Before closing, you’ll receive a breakdown of costs. Take time to review and ask questions if anything looks unclear.
Stay available – Escrow moves on timelines. Being reachable by phone or email helps prevent delays.
